Equality Act

The Equality Act 2010 prohibits an employer from discriminating against a person on the grounds of their disability, even at the recruitment stage.  By asking the individual  to undertake a Fit4jobs screening after a job offer has been made will ensure that the employer is made aware of any reasonable adjustments that may be needed, or changes to the working process or even place the individual in another role.  Failure to do so can lead to civil claims and prosecution.
